I must say I don’t really know if the next release of Mac OS is a hype thing or not. I’ve never pre-ordered anything in my life and now I’m on the list to receive the new Mac OS the day of its worldwide release.
What’s going on with me? Truthfully, I have no idea how they got me. This new release is very exciting though with native 64-bits support, virtual spaces, time machine, an improved dock and finder, and much more.
Hey, I’ve barely the time to work on my Apache things these days so I wonder when the heck I could explore these new features. I’ve justed canceled my order; Sorry Steve, you will have my 129€ later.

Yes, one year after version 6, The Jetbrains folks have released yet another major release of their well-know IDE. Hopefully, thanks to my open source license they granted me, I was able to try it out the day of the release (thanks Jetbrains, very much appreciated!).
The features list is quite impressive and my top most feature of course is the Maven integration which I’ve tried with the beta and was not very functional to be honest. Now it’s much better even if I’ve already found some issues creating projects with lots of projects underneath (well lots, ~ 15).
I wonder if it’s me or if those guys have not written much details about the features set of the new version. Maven integration barely fits in 10 lines space for instance. I guess there’s much more details in the doc bundled with the product but it’s a bit late to fish new customers IMO.
I’ve also discovered that they’ve added code coverage on the fly, which is very very good. All in all, this new release brings interesting features, too bad for customers that have bought the product 6 months ago…
Maybe I’ll add more once I’ve really tried the beast.
